Sign up Sign up.Canary Wharf Winter Lights was the sixth iteration of the Light Festival that features sculptures, structures and installations by some of the most innovative artists and designers around the world, using a wide range of different forms of light technology.

Last year there was a theme around sustainability, however this year there was no specific theme. Despite this, the installations were still a joy to behold. Whilst there is no perfect translation, this is the closest adaptation for this Romanian saying. It refers to a deeper meaning about longing or missing someone.

This piece is part of a cultural exchange with Lights On Romania light festival. Experience how it feels to sit next to the characters on the bench. Although their bodies are physically present, their minds are elsewhere as they exhibit the standard traits of smartphone users: heads bent, fingers typing, their faces lit up by their phone screens. This fun installation is equally interesting by day as it is under the cover of darkness; during daylight hours, the large landlocked four-and-a-half-metre tall buoys absorb the light and give off a magical glow.

By night, thousands of LEDs inside create a whirl of colours and spherical gradients in this installation made from fully recyclable polyethylene marine buoys. The striking neon colours of the trees create a fantastic contrast with natural foliage surrounding them. Programmed light depicting colours and patterns combined with a custom built soundscape gives you an encompassing sensory experience.

This installation was created to help spread awareness of single use plastic. Ditto is a column of light repeating infinitely above and below the audience. Enter the space and experience light and sound swirling around overhead and underfoot, trailing into infinity and creating beautiful reflections and colours in both daytime and evening. Once again, the much-loved fountain in Cabot Square has a makeover for Winter Lights with a stunning display of music and light. These fun, illuminated sculptures invite you to interact with them. Each glowing creature has alien-like antennae fitted with interactive sensors, so when a visitor is in close proximity their presence is detected and the colours begin to change. Canary Wharf's annual Winter Lights festival isn't happening this year — but fear not, as a new, longer illuminations event is taking its place. For several years now, light artworks have been installed around the Canary Wharf estate for a few evenings in January, to be viewed for free by the public.

If you've ever been, and witnessed the crowds it draws, you won't be surprised that Winter Lights is not going ahead in the age of social distancing. Instead, Canary Wharf is hosting Colourful Nights, an exhibition of light artworks lasting two months. Full details of Colourful Nights have yet to be revealed, but we do know that nine new illuminated artworks will be dotted about the Canary Wharf estate.

All are easily visible from a distance, reducing the likelihood of crowds gathering, and while some can be seen in the daylight, they're best viewed after dark. With two whole months to visit Colourful Nights, it sounds like a fantastic way to avoid the social distancing problems of Winter Lights, while adding a splash of much needed joy to these dark winter nights. It's free to visit, and a map and further details will be revealed in due course. In the mean time, take a look at the other dazzling light festivals happening in and around London this winter.

Ultimately, I use my own analysis in combination with intelligent based software. Wazzu's defense has steadily gotten worse as the season goes along. They allowed 91 to Idaho on the road and 81 to UC Davis as well. Robert Franks and Malachi Flynn are averaging over 36 points per game combined. UTEP is feeling good after a 88-76 home win over New Mexico last time out.

They will be once again without Matt Wilms in the middle. That will make the Miners defense much worse considering he's their enforcer type. Extra pressure now on Keith Frazier and Omega Harris. UTEP has gone over in 14 of their last 21 games when the total is 140 to 149.

This game features the 13-11 Sixers and the 18-8 Cavs. This game will be easy pickings as the Sixers will rest their star Joel Embid and this line just is too low. Cavs lost outrite last night at the Pacers and will not be to happy going into this one.

In the last nine years, this situation is sensational 23-3.

The 7-5 Baltimore Ravens are in Pittsburgh to take on the 10-2 Steelers and for a number of different reasons, I think this on favors the visitors. Baltimore has won three straight. Pittsburgh enters off a come-from-behind 23-20 win over Cincinnati on Monday night. Note that this is a revenge game for the Ravens after they fell 26-9 to the Steelers in the first meeting back on October 1st.

Denver, which has lost eight in a row after a 3-1 start enters into this game in a shambles. HC Vance Joseph's first year as head coach hasn't gone as planned, and the entire team looks to be on the verge of mutiny. Meanwhile, the Jets behind veteran quarterback Josh McCown are doing well in what was supposed to be a rebuilding season. The experienced QB has 18 touchdown passes and only eight interceptions while playing every snap this season.

Of the Jets' seven losses the jets have suffered during this campaign, only one has been by double digits, and they've had a fourth-quarter lead in three others and are a very under rated squad. I'm betting the NFL offensive player of the week (McCown) and a cohesive blue collar group will once again be the catalyst behind a Jets victory here today.

DENVER is 0-8 ATS in all games where the total is between 35. The Washington Redskins will visit the L. Chargers at StubHub Center Sunday afternoon, and I think we'll see a high-scoring affair.

The Redskins took a 38-14 loss at Dallas last Thursday and need a win here to keep their almost non-existent playoff hopes alive. Over is 14-3 in Redskins last 17 games following a straight up loss and 6-1 in their last seven games in December.

I expect a big game for rookie running back Samaje Perine against one of the worst run defenses in the league. The Chargers have allowed just a total of 16 points through their last two games, but first they played a Cowboys team still adjusting to the loss of Zeke Elliot and most recently the Browns. Mike CASHED his NFL GAME OF THE MONTH last Sunday, and he's back with another BIG WINNER on the pro gridiron Sunday night. The only way to ensure you don't miss a singe play is to sign up for a subscription.

The Browns are 0-12 and kust fired their GM, Sashi Brown, this week. This is a team thats still very far from rebuilding and you have to think there's NO incentive for them to win this game as it would be much better to give the new GM the 1st overall pick in this Aprils draft. Toss in the fact that the Browns have lost ALL 12 games to this point with ALL 12 losses coming by 3 points or more, which is Sunday's point spread- with 8 of the 12 losses have all been by 9 points or more. Then the Apaciler knew how to pick up.

They have won the last two.

Before a month they were close to leaders in the table, but made. Both teams are 6 points behind second place, so still in the battle for. Paris FC performed so well recently, in the last 10 games. They were last in the table for most of time this season, but curre.

They beat weak team Sene FC by 1-6 as away in last FRA CUP, ended up the consecutive losses. The Flevolanders said goodbye to key players such as Sven Braken and Soufyan Aha. They just got 2D-3L in recent 5 games.

Losses against Club Brugge and Charleroi were perhaps still being taken into accou. This season things are going better. The crocodiles are sixth and managed to catch 24. They are without a lose in 11 consecu.

They was last in the table after 4 rounds and without a win after 2 draws and 2 loses. Now their focus will be in league as no chances for anything in Europa. Their debut campaign in Europea. So for first time they are in Europa League group stage and already. They won 3 points and have chances only for third place in the group, but need a win or draw in this game. The Spaniards are still unbeaten in this Europa League and with eleven points from five rounds, they are already guaranteed.

After 5 rounds, Zenit St. They had to surrender the leading position to CFR Cluj after two consecutive losses. But afterwards they came a r.

After 20 rounds, Steaua Bucuresti total get 41 points and place the 2nd of the ROM D1. In last round, Marseille got a 1-1 draw with Konyaspor on the road. In the league, it has no less than seventeen points behind leader Brondby. The Basques are in second place with twelve points, at one point behind leader Zenit St. This is a game that the home side will hope they can get a result out of but they will know that they wil.

The club A great achievement, because the Belarusian did not end up in a staggered bed in the U. So their ranking is last on the UEFA EL table.
